A proprietor’s blend made after doing many blending trials and hand choosing our very best barrels of Semillon (69%) and Sauvignon Blanc (31%). It is a classic wine made in the tradition of the Graves style Bordeaux Blanc. Our special Queen of white wine is 100% barrel fermented and was aged for 8 months in small French oak barrels before bottling to add great complexity. Some people say this is "the white wine for red wine drinkers." We often hear comments that our Eleanor is one of the most interesting and complex Californian white wines. Filled with apricot skin and citrus flavors with tangerine, pineapple and lemon-grass. Aromas of candied grapefruit peel, green apple and vanilla. Ultra-clean finish, rich mouthfeel. This wine is a meal, but also compliments shellfish, sushi and teriyaki.
